By accessing or using Scenarity ("the Service"), available at scenarity.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use Scenarity. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Accounts are created and managed through our authentication provider (Supabase Auth). You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us promptly of any unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or show signs of unauthorized use.

Scenarity offers a Free tier and a Pro subscription. Billing is handled securely through Stripe.

• Free tier: Access to core features with usage limits (e.g., limited number of scenarios).
• Pro tier: Unlocks advanced features such as scenario comparison, higher limits, and data export.
• Upgrades: Take effect immediately. You will be billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) from the date of purchase.
• Downgrades: Take effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain Pro access until then.
• Taxes: Prices may be subject to applicable VAT or sales tax depending on your jurisdiction.
• Refunds: Handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at support@scenarity.app if you believe a refund is warranted.

Certain features — including but not limited to comparing multiple scenarios side by side, advanced chart exports, and higher scenario limits — are available exclusively to Pro subscribers.

We reserve the right to modify which features are included in each tier, with reasonable notice provided to existing subscribers.

You retain full ownership of all data and content you create within Scenarity, including scenarios, financial projections, and customer records.

We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. We access your data only as necessary to provide and improve the Service.

You may export or delete your data at any time through the account settings. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems
• Interfere with the security or performance of the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
• Resell access to the Service without written authorization

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.

By you: You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Active subscriptions will not be refunded for the remaining billing period.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on severity.

Scenarity is not a financial advisory service. The projections, calculations, and scenario comparisons produced by the platform are for informational and planning purposes only.

We do not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You should consult qualified professionals before making financial decisions based on outputs from the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scenarity and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece and the applicable regulations of the European Union.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece, without prejudice to your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence within the EU.

Scenarity is a financial scenario planning and comparison platform operated from Greece. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the data controller for personal data collected through the Service.

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account data: Email address, display name, and avatar image (if uploaded).
• Billing identifiers: Stripe customer ID and subscription ID. We do not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full payment details — these are handled entirely by Stripe.
• App data: Scenarios, financial projections, customer records, and settings you create within the Service.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and access logs collected automatically when you use the Service.

We use your data to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send transactional emails (e.g., password resets, billing receipts)
• Improve and optimize the Service based on usage patterns
• Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your financial scenario data for advertising or profiling.

We process your personal data under the following legal bases as defined by the GDPR:

• Contract: Processing necessary to provide the Service you signed up for (account creation, data storage, subscription management).
• Legitimate interest: Analytics and service improvement, fraud prevention, and security monitoring — balanced against your privacy rights.
• Consent: Where applicable, such as for optional marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation: Where required by law (e.g., tax records, regulatory requests).

We use the following third-party processors to operate the Service:

• Supabase (auth, database, storage) — data is stored in EU-region infrastructure.
• Stripe (payment processing) — processes billing data under its own privacy policy and PCI DSS compliance.

Each processor is bound by data processing agreements and operates in accordance with GDPR requirements.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

• Account data: Retained until you delete your account.
• App data: Retained until you delete the data or your account. Permanently removed within 30 days of account deletion.
• Billing records: Retained for up to 7 years as required by tax and accounting regulations.
• Technical logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances.
• Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interest.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@scenarity.app. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Greece, this is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA).

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

• Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest
• Row-level security (RLS) in our database to isolate user data
• Regular access reviews and principle of least privilege
• Secure authentication via Supabase Auth

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

Scenarity uses only essential cookies required for the Service to function:

• Authentication cookies: To keep you logged in across sessions.
• Preference cookies: To remember your theme (light/dark mode) and UI settings.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required.

Your data is primarily stored and processed within the European Union. Where data is transferred outside the EU (e.g., through sub-processors), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions.

Scenarity is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly delete the account and associated data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
